After some testing in the Dev Channel has moved on to Windows 11 22H2. Insider Preview Build 22621.160 now available in beta channel They want to hear more feedback about the File Explorer tabs.
Quick steps to test the beta channel
Microsoft released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25136 on June 9. This provides the Dev Channel all sorts of innovations. We’ve also informed you about the changes as usual. The following post will follow four days later on the Windows blog: Windows 11 Insider preview Build 22621.160 will now be published. It is meant for all beta channel participants. The version number is KB5014770. This makes the leap from 22621.1 to 22621.160.
The update’s main feature is the long-awaited changes to File Explorer. These tweaks affect navigation as well as the user interface. This form was the only one that the Dev Channel arrived in. Microsoft has added a tab view to the title bar.
The dev release still has a limitation: “We just began rolling out this feature, so the feature is not yet available for all Insiders within the beta channel,” said Build 22621.160 developers. Microsoft has only identified one known bug in the current release. It is quite minor. The File Explorer tabs’ “up arrow” is not aligned correctly. In a future update, a fix will be provided.
Windows 11 22H2 long gone
Microsoft has plenty of time for insider testing before Windows 1122H2 is released, which is expected in September. Microsoft is especially careful about the Explorer tabs. The developers stated that they want to monitor the feedback and determine how it turns out before spreading it to everyone.
