More details about the new Outlook app for Windows were released in May. The new app is now available in the Microsoft Store, at least as a “placeholder”. The beginning may be near. We are eagerly awaiting the new Outlook for Windows app. Microsoft will now take another step to make it available to all users. The app will be listed in Microsoft Store immediately.
This was discovered by colleagues at Agiornamentilumia. The Outlook app isn’t yet available for download, as it is with major updates or new apps. Microsoft has created a placeholder where the app will eventually be found. The store page with the initial information is visible now, but the app can’t be installed at the moment. The download button is not yet available.
It is possible to speculate about whether the app page release was intended that way or if it is a bug. One thing is certain: all users are now in the hot start phase.
Microsoft has been working for a while on a client for Outlook. This application, aside from the design changes, should be more like the web app. The Monarch project will be coded by developers.
We’ve shown images and reported on the changes several times. We also explain how to get the app in beta testing. To use the app, you must have a Microsoft 365 account. The app is not yet available to private accounts. It is currently unknown when the app will be launched.
