The orbital record for the mysterious, unmanned military spacecraft Boeing X-37B was broken by its crew.

The previous record was set by the craft in 2019, after it had spent 780 days in space. However, Boeing now reports that the record has been broken. According to Boeing, the space plane (or spaceplane as it is called) has been in orbit for 781 day as part of its next mission. This message was published July 7. At the moment, the X-37B is in space for 784 day and it is unknown when it will return home to Earth.

On May 17, 2020, the Orbital Test Vehicle 6 mission was launched. This mission is the sixth, with the first flight of the device being in 2010. There are still many rumors about the Boeing X-37B’s purpose. The media frequently report that the Boeing X-37B is used to test orbital weapons.

However, data can still be accessed by anyone who is interested. One example is the ongoing experiment that involved the testing of a photovoltaic antenna module at the US Naval Research Laboratory. This module converts solar energy into microwave radiation.
