AppleInsider published Dan Ives’ opinion as a Wedbush Securities analyst. He believes that the iPhone 14 is going to be the most expensive Apple smartphone. This causes an increase in the price of new products because of the shortage of components.
Dan Ives stated that prices for the parts required to make the iPhone are rising across the supply chain. The company cannot afford to pay the rising costs so they will have the cost passed on to customers. Analysts predict that the iPhone 14’s price will increase by $100.
The base iPhone 14 will be the cheapest model in the series, at $900. The iPhone 14 Max (or iPhone 14 Plus), will cost $ 1,000. Basic versions of the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max will cost $ 1,100 and $ 1,200, respectively. Rumours have circulated that the iPhone 14 will include a model with 2TB flash memory. The price of such an iPhone 14 Pro Max model could be as high as $2,000
AppleInsider claims that Apple isn’t the only company facing a shortage in semiconductors. Samsung raised its chips’ prices by 20% in May due to the same reason.
