Human Horizons Technologies finally showed the final version of the HiPhi Z electric vehicle – possibly the most remarkable electric sedan in the entire world –

It can be compared to the Batmobile and Renault Vel Satis. HiPhi Z is as avant-garde as its time and certainly with other cars that were ahead their time at least in design. HiPhi Z is associated with cyberpunk. These associations can be seen not only in its exterior but also in its interior. It is only one central screen that can be suspended from a robotic mount that is worth the effort.

Pre-orders for the HiPhi Z are available in China. Prices range from $89,500 up to $119,400. This is roughly the same price as the flagship Tesla Model S. It is estimated that approximately 2,500 cars have been ordered.

HiPhi Z is a sedan with 22-inch wheels and rear-facing killer doors. They open in the opposite direction to travel.

The car has a keyless entry system that opens the doors automatically when the driver approaches them. There are two options for powerplants. The first comes with a single 300-hp engine. The second engine is located on the rear axle and has a total power output of 600 hp. According to the NEDC method, the traction battery has a capacity of 120 kWh and the range it can travel is 705km. A curious fact is that the chassis of an electric car can be controlled completely. Depending on the situation, the rear wheels can be turned in the same direction or vice versa as the front wheels. The angle can reach 13.2 degrees. There is also semi-autonomous driving with 34 sensors and sensors. The lidar can be clearly seen, rising above the windshield in center.

The steering wheel with touch key looks almost like a spaceship’s steering wheel. Instead of a traditional instrument panel, there’s a large projection screen. The cabin is lit by atmospheric LEDs that are embedded in the roof lining.

The large central screen can be rotated and twisted in various directions by a robot arm suspended from it. HiPhi Bot is the name of the system and responds to voice commands. The screen will turn in the driver’s direction if he speaks any command. Meridian Audio’s 23-speaker soundsystem can make the screen move in time.

HiPhi Z was, in general, quite interesting. This is probably the most unusual electric car in China, if not the entire world. This was at least until Cybertruck’s release.
