Samsung may start beta testing of One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 by July: Reports
Google released the Android 13 previews to developers earlier in the year. Samsung has yet to release preview builds based on the upcoming update.
The July window for the open beta version of Android 13 could be extended due to Samsung’s plans to start testing the software in mid-summer. Multiple Galaxy devices, including tablets and smartphones, will be eligible to receive the public version of the upcoming One UI 5.0 update once it has completed the beta phase.
The update will be given to the most expensive devices first. It is possible to assume that the Galaxy S22 series will be the first to receive Android 13, and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Flip 4 will be the next-generation Galaxy phones.
It is worth noting that Samsung is simultaneously developing One UI 5.0 for its upcoming foldable smartphones. One UI 5.0 will still be available for all devices, whereas One UI 4.1.1 is only available to a select few. If you do not consider the beta builds, One UI 4.1.1 is the first update to hit the market.
