Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Event Celebrates the GameCube’s 20 Year Anniversary

Super Smash Bros. UltimateIt is already a celebration of all things Nintendo. Over 80 characters to choose from and hundreds of items assist trophies and spirits throughout Nintendo’s history. A new in-game event is now available. Super Smash Bros. UltimatePlayers can earn bonuses and celebrate their favorite games released on the GameCube. This console is one of Nintendo’s most popular.

The GameCube was released in Japan and North America in 2001 and around the globe in 2002. It is a unique console that Nintendo has made well-known thanks to its unique shape and color. The GameCube was considered to be the successor of the Nintendo 64 system. It served as Nintendo’s primary home console for six years before being replaced by the Nintendo Wii in 2006. Many popular Nintendo titles were first released on GameCube. These included Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mario Party games, and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

This 20th-anniversary event will see Spirits originally released for GameCube appear more often on Ultimate’sSpirit Board. It will begin Friday, September 9th, and continue until midnight Sunday, September 12. The Spirits that appear more often include the aforementioned creatures from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker: Tetra, Medli, and Pikmin, as well as Shine Sprites and Krystal from Star Fox Adventures. These Spirits will be more likely to be captured by players who fight them during the event. This event is the first major Spirit-related one since Monster Hunter: Rise was added in April 2021.
