Destiny 2 Witch Queen Reveal Teased With Brief New Trailer

After many teases, information drops and even a few leaks the Witch Queen unveil event.Destiny 2It is just around the corner. Bungie promised to reveal the next major expansion for the online shooter, which will include the main antagonist Savathun. The Hive Queen has not been the main focus for the last couple of seasons but she has remained in the background. Both Destiny fan speculation and lore indicate that she is hiding from plain sightMany believe that a reckoning is imminent among the Tower’s inhabitants.

Over the past few seasons, fans have been speculating about who Savathun might be impersonating. In fact, the reveal event should also give fans a greater look at the recently revealed Season of the Lost, which sees the Awoken Queen finally reappearing and likely serving as a prologue to the events of the Witch Queen expansion.

Bungie continues to tease Destiny 2 fans with a trailer that shows what looks to be Savathun. The trailer is only 16 seconds long and shows the back of what appears to be Savathun as he walks into a shallow pool with bodies. Fans speculate that the background shots appear to be from Dreaming City. A single voice can be heard saying Truths are funny, hinting at some twists and turns.

While the Hive Queen’s appearance has never been shown in game, the model in this trailer seems to echo one of Savathun in the image that leaked online earlier this summer. Savathun is tall and has a crown-like helmet on her head. She also appears to have high shoulder armor. The Ghost-type artifact that many fans believe she will use to wield light after her Worm is destroyed is something that cannot be seen in the trailer.

Fans have been putting together a picture of what Season 15 might bring. While the seasonal event appears to revolve around Queen Mara Sov and the continued strange behavior of the Warlock Osiris, fans have come to the inclusion that the Scorn are finally getting their own champions after the reveal of the Season 15 mods and a recent leak. The Dreaming City is a focal point for upcoming content and players hope that Uldren “Crow”, the Guardian’s brother, will return to the spotlight.
